Winston Heights/Mountview Off-Leash Area Overview
The Winston Heights/Mountview off-leash area (designation WIN-001) runs along the west escarpment of the Nose Creek Valley, in one of Calgary's older NE communities — established in 1932 and largely built out through the 1950s.
This is a narrow, manicured cliff-top park rather than a wide-open field. Footpaths make the cliff side easy to navigate, with a bench along the way and waste bins at intervals. The site sits close to Nose Creek Park and the Elks Golf Club, within the community's official boundaries of Edmonton Trail to the west, Deerfoot Trail to the east, 16 Ave NE to the south, and the laneway between 34 and 35 Ave NE to the north.
Good access to downtown via Edmonton Trail makes this a convenient stop for owners heading in or out of the inner city.
